This course is designed to guide you through a series of paintings through verbal instruction. It is intended for you to visualize and paint abstractly to explore what you are thinking and possibly help you work through what you are feeling. This is not a technique course, rather a guided painting session. You will paint whatever you want using whatever colors you desire based on the questions and visualizations that I give you.

"Our Mission is to support emotional healing through art & creative expression for those living in pain, grief, fear or stress. Art and Creativity for Healing is a 501(c3) nonprofit organization.

We give pain a voice and meaning by providing expressive abstract art workshops to support emotional healing. We’re different from other art programs. Our Art4Healing® curriculum contains strictly guided exercises, rather than loosely formatted art sessions. These exercises are specially designed to elicit emotional responses. Participants leave encouraged, with enhanced clarity and insight. Our Art4Healing Workshops are offered to the public and through community programs. They have helped tens of thousands of men, women, and children give their pain a voice through paint, color, and self-expression.

Our Founder, Laurie Zagon, has facilitated Art & Creativity For Healing workshops since 1985. Using her method of Art4Healing®, she has helped thousands of children and adults use paint to process stress, illness, or grief in hospitals, through local and national nonprofit community organizations, and at studio workshops in Orange County. The Zagon method of Art4Healing® was initially developed in New York in 1987 to help busy Wall Street executives conquer stress

I started my art Journey in 2018. I had left my marriage due to domestic abuse and as therapy, I started drawing. Drawing turned into painting and I kept improving my skills. In 2019 I launched my first online classes and began teaching in person art parties. I kept thinking of new things to explore with art and I have now left my career and become a full time artist.

Art brings so much joy to my life in so many ways.

  • Creating just to create,
  • using art as therapy
  • Teaching art4healing sessions.
  • Taking photos
  • Creating for others,
  • Teaching in person parties,
  • Teaching online classes,
  • Interacting with the students in the communities that I have created
  • Helping others find their artistic voice,
  • Helping people make money doing what they love,
  • Collaborating with other amazing artists...

These are just some of the ways that art has literally changed my life.
